Stoke are searching for their first win of the Championship season following a 2-1 defeat at home to Bristol City.
It had seemed as though it could be the day of Stoke after Sam Clucas slotted home in a corner.
But their hopes suffered a significant setback when Joe Allen was red-carded to get a lunging attack on Josh Brownhill.
The Potters continued to keep up the pressure and could have doubled their lead however Daniel Bentley did well to keep out James McClean after 21 minutes.
Since their individual advantage count was left by Bristol but Stoke, who remain married to the foot of table, exhausted after the restart.
Plus they completed the comeback win with goals in Famara Diedhiou and Tom Edwards‘ own target in the space of seven minutes.
When he smashed home following a great lay-off by Bruno Martins Indi clucas got off Stoke to a perfect start.
When Allen had been sent-off for going in with his claws but the game turned on its head.
As the Potters continued to dominate han-Noah Massengo needed to flip the ball over his crossbar for a 19th second corner.
Bentley spread himself brilliantly two minutes to keep out a close-range campaign.
Jack Butland saved with his feet to keep an Andreas Weimann shot after 23 minutes because the game burst to life.
Tommy Rowe was not able to discover the target with a header from the cross of Brownhill 30 minutes.
Until Clucas neglected to maintain a long-range effort back on the stroke of half-time antoine Semenyo blazed over from a tight angle after 42 minutes.
Tom Ince saw a shot saved by Bentley after a run to the box about 48 minutes.
Badou Ndiaye dragged an effort wide from distance minutes later as the home side appeared for a pivotal second.
However, Diedhiou led home by Jack Hunt about 55 minutes by the goal-line after a cross that was brilliant to drag Bristol level.
The visitors were seven minutes later when Edwards turned to his own while under pressure.
However, Hunt again deserved the credit before delivering another mortal cracked cross once which he beat his man.
Stoke were unable to make a good chance to level at the closing stages with the volley from Clucas how they can provide.
